Laser Cutting, Fabrication, and the Design Process in the classroom LIMITED
Feedback form is now closed.
Limited Capacity seats available

Getting the most out of a Laser cutter. After having a Glow Forge in my classroom for a year, I will share the pros and cons of the device and compare it to other fabricating machines and options for bringing digital creations in to the real world. The potential for fabricating and prototyping is astounding and surprisingly accessible.

We will be fortunate to have a Laser Cutter at our disposal and we will go through the design process from idea to product-in-hand!

You will gain the following from attending this workshop:

1) What a Laser cutter can do and what is involved in getting it to work-- even for non-tech oriented people
2) How easy the entry to digital fabrication is and a few practical steps in getting to legitimate results quickly
3) Workflow and classroom management suggestions
4) Has something useful been learned or did they just press print?

Please bring a laptop and if possible download and install the free software Inkscape
